You’re a perfect match for the role, if:
- You have at least 5 years of experience in online payments within the e-commerce industry
- You have experience managing a payment-focused team
- You know how to inspire, support, and develop talent within your team
- You can set strategic directions and make data-driven decisions
- You can quickly identify barriers and implement effective solutions
- You have hands-on experience with payment processing, including card transactions, PayPal, and other payment methods
- You have experience managing chargebacks, settlements, and refund processes
- You can assess risks and monitor KPIs in the payments area
- You're familiar with legal regulations and security standards related to payments (PCI DSS, PSD2, etc.)
- You can collaborate effectively with technical and finance teams and can coordinate cross-functional initiatives
- You have strong analytical skills and experience in reporting and optimizing payment processes
- Your English is at a minimum B2 level, allowing you to communicate confidently in both speech and writing
Your responsibilities:
- Defining and executing the strategic and operational direction for the payments area, ensuring full alignment with business goals and organizational needs
- Optimizing operational models, processes, and payment systems to maintain stability, security, and the highest quality of the payment environment, including effective handling of disputes and refunds
- Overseeing budgeting, reporting, and risk monitoring in the payments and disputes area, with a strong focus on precise KPI tracking
- Building and maintaining relationships with key partners and payment service providers, monitoring market trends, and recommending innovative solutions to improve payment and dispute processes
- Identifying, analyzing, and effectively resolving complex technical, regulatory, and operational challenges, including issues related to dispute management
- Ensuring full compliance with applicable legal regulations, security standards, and internal organizational procedures
- Demonstrating a proactive approach, flexibility, and the ability to make sound decisions in a dynamic business environment
- Managing the team responsible for payments and disputes, including motivating team members, developing their competencies, and ensuring high levels of efficiency and engagement
