Inclusive Language Culture at G2A

At G2A, we believe that workplace communication should be based on mutual respect, understanding, and openness to diversity. As part of our G2A for DEI (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion) initiative we have developed an inclusive language guide that supports everyday communication and helps build a culture of inclusion.

The language we use has a real impact on the workplace atmosphere and on relationships between colleagues. Caring for inclusive language and responding to unacceptable behavior are the foundations of a sense of safety within the company. The guide was created to raise awareness of the power of words, support communication skills, and eliminate exclusionary language. It also includes practical guidance on how to respond to negative behaviors.

The guide was created bottom-up by the G2A for DEI ambassadors – a group of G2Anians who volunteered to get involved in developing an inclusive organizational culture as part of G2A DNA. Work on the guide began with consultations during which its content was refined, taking into account feedback from people working at G2A. This was important to us, because we want diversity, equal opportunities, and building a culture of inclusion to be a systemic effort that reflects the perspective of each and every one of us.

The guide is another step toward a workplace where everyone feels comfortable and safe, and where communication supports collaboration, understanding, and openness to diversity.
