G2A.CO / Newsroom / G2A.COM celebrates diversity of its employees, products, customers, partners and gaming with its first diversity campaign

G2A.COM celebrates diversity of its employees, products, customers, partners and gaming with its first diversity campaign

G2A.COM, the world’s largest marketplace for digital products, today announced the launch of its first-ever Diversity Campaign. It will showcase the diversity across G2A.COM’s ecosystem of employees, products, customers and partners, and will recognize and promote diversity in gaming with educational content and collaboration with a wide variety of gaming influencers.

Throughout its history, G2A.COM has stressed the importance of diversity. Its over 400 employees are nearly 40% women, and its executive team is 50% women. The company recently unveiled a new business strategy widening and diversifying the range of its offer which includes over 75,000 digital products spanning video games, downloadable content, in-game items, gift cards, subscriptions and software offered by sellers from all around the world. G2A.COM boasts more than 25 million users from all walks of life and supports over 200 local and global payment options. In addition to this, the company has worked with nearly 1,600 partners in 61 countries and is one of the top 10 cross-border marketplaces in Europe.

“Diversity is one of the pillars of business and society today,” said Dorota Wróbel, Chief R&D Officer at G2A.COM. “We look forward to this campaign recognizing and promoting diversity in gaming and celebrating values that lead to success. These values include integration and well-being; diversity, equity and inclusion; career and talent development; knowledge-sharing and cross-departmental cooperation; and feedback and appreciation culture. Embracing diversity helps organizations and society improve by nurturing conversations and solving problems from different perspectives,” she added.

Dorota has been with G2A.COM for many years, starting as a marketing specialist, when the company only had 6 women among its staff in total. From that time a lot has changed, she managed to climb her way up the leadership ladder all the way to one of the most important executive positions, and the gender difference started to move, slowly at first, but ever faster, towards the balance.

The push towards diversity that G2A.COM is promoting right now can be seen not only in the gender diversity among its employees, they are also pointing out many other, not less important aspects of promoting variety: different cultures, personalities, backgrounds, ages, everything that can make us different, and in turn broaden our perspective. However, each of those aspects is so broad that focusing on them all would prevent any specific from being tackled in more detail, hence here G2A.COM tries to put attention to female representation specifically, appreciating the fact that 46% of gamers are women. As was already mentioned, right now there are almost 40% women working at G2A.COM, and right now they are committing to reaching above 40% within two years, and getting to 45% in five.

Considering the importance of the topic of diversity in the modern day world, and G2A.COM itself, the brand has planned several issues of the Diversity campaign – each one focusing on different aspects of the topic. The first edition has already started, with another one planned for Q4’23, where the story will be expanded with new plots and characters. Stay tuned!
